Description

Central heating and hot water in one electric boiler

The Elektra EASY.BPC 12kW combines central heating and domestic hot water in one wall-mounted unit. Its built-in 37-litre hot-water cylinder stores hot water ready for use, while smart controls let you manage the boiler from its screen or your phone.

Central heating, baths and showers in one unit

A heating and hot-water solution for suitable flats and houses, with a built-in 37-litre cylinder and smart controls. The EASY.BPC combines central heating and domestic hot water in a wall-mounted unit, helping you plan an electric heating system without a separate external hot-water cylinder.

Choose ECO or COMFORT for hot water

The built-in cylinder supplies stored hot water without a separate external cylinder.

ECO mode, the tank uses its own 2kW heater and the hot water delivery is done from the inbuilt storage tank. ECO mode uses the hot water in the cylinder. Once that supply has been used, the cylinder needs time to reheat. Reheating time depends on the starting water temperature and operating conditions, usually around 30 minutes.

COMFORT mode also uses the main heat exchanger and keeps it preheated for a quicker response to hot-water demand. Available flow and duration depend on the stored temperature, incoming water and combined demand.

What to expect from baths and showers

Getting the right hot-water performance means matching the boiler to how you use water. For a bath, the required water volume and temperature matter. For a shower, flow rate and duration matter. If you want to use two outlets at once, tell your installer before choosing the boiler settings. Increasing the flow uses stored hot water more quickly. Reducing it allows a greater temperature rise through the boiler. A good thermostatic shower mixer blends hot and cold water to help maintain your chosen shower temperature. The domestic hot-water cylinder holds 37 litres. The separate central heating reservoir serves the heating circuit and does not add to that domestic hot-water capacity.

Can it run two showers at once?

Two showers can run simultaneously in COMFORT mode where the combined flow is set to suit the boiler and incoming mains supply. Reducing the combined flow allows the available hot water to last longer. Ask your installer to set and check both showers together; available duration depends on the flow, temperatures and stored hot water.

Set your heating schedule and adjust it from your phone

Use the built-in weekly programmer to set your heating schedule. Connect the boiler to a compatible 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network to use the MyBoiler app on iOS or Android for remote control. An optional compatible room thermostat can work with the schedule when the supported control logic is configured by your installer.

☀︎ Summer mode keeps hot water available with central heating switched off.

❄︎ Winter mode enables central heating. For control based on room temperature, you can add an external room thermostat. Thermostatic radiator valves allow adjustment at individual radiators.

Radiators or underfloor heating

The boiler supports high-temperature radiator and low-temperature underfloor-heating configurations. Your installer sets the appropriate heating configuration and temperatures for the system. Summer mode keeps hot water available with central heating off; Winter mode enables both functions.

Check suitability before ordering

Before confirming any boiler, we check suitability so there are no surprises later.

Your installer should check the property’s heat loss, hot-water demand, electrical capacity, incoming water conditions and installation space. A bedroom count, radiator count or main fuse rating alone does not confirm suitability. If these checks are complete, choose your required option and add it to your basket. If you are unsure, contact ECBC before ordering.

Choose your package

Choose the boiler on its own if your installer will supply the required supporting components, or select an available protection bundle.

The Essential bundle includes installation fittings, a rotary isolator, ZeroCal+ water treatment and a central heating filter*.
The Complete bundle adds a Honeywell wireless room thermostat.

Check the selected option for the components supplied. Buying a bundle does not, by itself, confirm warranty eligibility.

*Central Heating Filter and thermostat models in the Complete bundle may vary depending on stock.

Up to 10 years’ warranty

ELEKTRA boilers come with up to 10 years’ warranty, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Eligibility depends on registration, qualifying installation components and servicing. Read the full warranty terms.

– The manufacturer’s warranty covers the first two years from purchase, subject to registration and the manufacturer’s terms.
– ECBC warranty cover extends up to 10 years from purchase, subject to registration within 30 days and servicing every two years from purchase by an ECBC engineer or authorised installer.
– ECBC cover includes parts and labour for eligible warranty repairs, subject to the applicable terms and exclusions.

What will it cost to run?

Electric boilers are not cheaper to run than gas boilers. Your running costs depend on your electricity tariff, the property’s heat loss, insulation, heating schedule and hot-water use. You can try our Running Cost Estimator tool for an estimation based on the real circunstances of your property.

Boiler purchase and installation

Buy your boiler online and use your own installer, or contact ECBC about optional installation services.

Installation work depends on the existing heating system, electrical supply and proposed boiler position. For an estimation of what an ECBC Boiler Installation would cost, use our ECBC Installation Estimator tool.

Tip: Always check what your installation quote includes before committing.
